Umpires needed! District 6 Umpires Clinic

I want you to be an umpire!

A great way to make some extra money (at any age!) while enjoying the greatest game ever created is by being an umprire. The best way to get started is this free one day clinic run by District 6 and a group of Little League World Series-level umpires.

Our annual District 6 Umpires Clinic will be held Saturday, March 24 at the Mandell/JCC Valley Sports & Community Center, 310 Albany Turnpike (Routes 44/202) in Canton.  Check-in is from 12 noon until 1 p.m. and the clinic will go until 5 p.m.  It is open to all levels of Little League umpires and once again includes plate mechanics, field mechanics and rules updates taught by a group of Little League World Series-level umpires from throughout the Northeast.

In order to make the check-in process faster, we’re now taking registrations in advance, on-line via the new district website, www.ctd6.com.  To begin the process, you will need to create an account on the website.  Bob Barnes has put together a video - “How to Register” - for new users to the site.  While the sign-up process is easy, we recommend you watch the video first at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=Z6RsRyLN1Kc  As the video notes, it’s very important that everyone bring a filled-in copy of the waiver form that’s part of the registration confirmation.  Please be assured that all contact information provided is for District 6 use only.  And as a reminder, the clinic is free.

If you still have questions, please email D6 Umpire-in-Chief Andy Resler at  or Jeff Reid; President of Tri-Town Little League at

As we expect another very large turnout, we’re asking all leagues to share this information with their umpires as soon as possible and encourage them to sign-up immediately.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing everyone on March 24.
