Big Al’s online Program

Hello managers, coaches and parents!

Tritown Baseball and Softball has purchased Big Al’s online Program for all of the Managers, Coaches and Parents in our league for 2019.

The coaching programs include… videos on how to teach the skills, lots of drills to incorporate into your practices and help in identifying and correcting common mistakes. There are ready-to-go practice plans for the pre-season, during the season plus plans to help prepare for the post season. The strategy section covers positional play and roles and responsibilities of players in game situations.  It also has tips and plans to help you be effective as a coach on game day.  Big Al has designed this Coaching programs to help you from the start of a Little League season to the finish.

The parent programs include… videos and instruction on all of the skills that your coach will be teaching this year.   It also includes lots of fun drills, games and challenges that you can practice at home so you can get stronger and improve your skills all season long.  There is also a section on strategy with roles and responsibilities for every player on the team in a variety of game situations.  Every player in the Major Leagues has a story about practicing and playing the game with their buddies away from the ball park and at home…that is how you can become the best player you can be.

Snack shack

Volunteers for the snack shack, in an effort to be more organized. The snack shack on Saturdays will now be using a sign up genius. If you could sign up online so we can assure that the snack shack is always open and fully staffed if would be greatly appreciated!

Each time slot is an hour, people that have worked in the snack shack before have commented it that things go smoother if you can sign up for two hours at a time it creates a smoothness to the process. My thought was that if you can sign up for two hours a couple of times a month and everyone does there part we will have no problem staffing the snack shack with out burning anyone out. I know everyone has very busy schedules and if that means you can only do an hour here or there that would be great too. All you have to do is sign up by following the link. I know we have a lot of new families and families that are moving up, if you have not helped in the snack shack before I promise you it is not difficult or scary (even the fryer and other cooking is not complicated), everything can be explained by the prior shift or myself (even better some of our veteran snack shack volunteers).

*Weeknight games will still need to be staffed by parents of the teams with game six or practices that night, just as it was in previous years.

So please take a look at your calendars and follow the link to help out to make this a success. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

Update on the new 2018 USA Baseball Bat Standard

Hello Tri-Town!

Little League® International has assembled an online resource page dedicated to baseball bat information, that includes the latest bat information, current Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers and licensed bat lists.

Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018.

>>> CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO AND A SHORT VIDEO <<<

For more information on the USABat standard and a complete list of bats approved through the USABat Standard, visit usabat.com.

Thank you!
